  30. Amiga users don't believe it but it is true. Many PC news/mailreaders will
  31. load MS word to display some documents. The document contains a macro
  32. that MS word stupidly uses to replace your template. This macro contains
  33. code to format the data on the screen AND code that replaces your default
  34. template with itself AND code to infect your disk.

  36. Leave it to MicroSoft to design a word processor that will allow you
  37. to run a program from a template... Now the FIX is another WORD macro that
  38. runs a program that can find the virus and remove the offending template.
  39. Too bad about all the data you lost in the mean time. There are at least
  40. to copy-cat viruses running around. MSWord for MAC is not affected by this
  41. virus.
